American Red Oak

American Red Oak is also known as Quercus Rubra.

With heartwood ranging from light tan to pinkish-brown and a coarse, open grain, it offers a distinct character to finished products. Red Oak is similar in properties and versatility to White Oak. Depending on the region it’s sourced from, there is a faint red/pink colour to the timber.
American Red Oak is easy to work with, responding well to various processes such as machining and staining. Commonly used in furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and trim, its versatility extends to veneers.
