American White Oak
Also known as Quercus Alba.
Considered superior to the red variety it has white or pale cream sapwood. It can be said that it is like its European cousin but slightly less pronounced. Silvery feature visible on quarter sawn faces. Oak will stain easily. Ferrous metals will stain black if contaminated. It’s versatility allows uses for anything from fine furniture to beautiful flooring. Due to its strength is also used as constructional purposes and joinery.
