European Black Oak

European black Oak is the same species as European white Oak. Its properties and characteristics are the same. The European white Oak undergoes a fuming treatment process is which the colour resulting is a uniform ‘black’. This treatment is generally favorable to the staining of white oak due to it’s penetrative abilities. When the process is complete the ‘black’ colour appears uniform throughout the cross section of the timber.
