European Brown Oak

European brown Oak is the same botanical species as French White Oak. Brown Oak therefore shares the same properties and characteristics as White Oak. The ‘brown’ colour is achieved through utilising logs in which a fungus is present. Through the cutting and drying process the fungus is killed, leaving the raw product with a streaky golden varying grain. This is a beautiful product for a natural timber floor.
