European Lime

Also known as American Lime, Linn in UK or Whitewood and Basswood it is a far Eastern tropical timber. 

The white sapwood is a cream to almost white colour and merges into a light yellow-wish brown heartwood with possible darker streak. It is easy to work with, soft and great for turning and hand carving holding detail very well and glues and finishes well.
